Feel free to use this as an opportunity to get to know me and who I am, ask about what policies I envision for the sub, or anything else you may come up with. I can’t promise that I will be able to answer every question, but I will do my best to earnestly represent myself as a candidate for your council.

If you’re elected, what would be the first thing you do?

I would first like to better define our government by setting up things like term lengths, regulating the number of people who can run for council, and ensuring that we have a strong legislative backbone from the get go. Right now roles are a bit ill-defined and I would hope to add clarity to what exactly and how exactly they would operate.

as a fellow runner in the council election, I agree! I feel like it’s a bit vague, but I hope that we could fix that. One idea is roles like departments in the US government, like treasurer, etc. I hope that we could be fellow council mates in the future!

I wish you luck in this election and hope the same as well!

One great thing about the council election is that it can be more friendly to opponent, like, “I hope this guys on the council with me” instead of the presidential election, where people are fighting for one seat of power.

Absolutely, I feel that it fosters a better sense of community as well.

How exactly would you limit the amount of people that can run for council/president?
roemaencepartnaer  2025-11-28 17:23 UTC  ↑1  OP
I think I would set it up so that it’s not first come first serve but that there’s a timeframe where people can announce their candidacy, after that no more announcements will be considered. If over half the sub runs for council that’s an excessive amount of candidates, so I think pre-council elections there should be at most 14 potential council members. There are currently 7 seats on the council. These fourteen could he determined by either some selection criteria of the council or we could just hold a pre-election to get to that number. I think I would have to delegate with other council members to determine what measure is most fair.

yeah there should be a deadline, because otherwise someone could actually post something really good but it’s like an hour before election and not enough people actually see it in time, but if the latest was like 2 days before election, almost everyone could have a chance to see it.

I have proposed similar things and I look forward to making a constitution

I saw your draft of constitutional procedures, I think that they were a very good base for this new government! I hope to work with you as well.

What is your foreign policy
roemaencepartnaer  2025-11-28 18:32 UTC  ↑1  OP
What do you mean by “foreign” in this instance? Are you asking for my stance irl or in regards to this sub?
Jade044  2025-11-28 18:37 UTC  ↑1
Sub yknow incase war
roemaencepartnaer  2025-11-28 18:41 UTC  ↑1  OP
Well I wasn’t aware that there were any foreign parties we could combat with, but having that knowledge now I would say that my primary focuses when engaging with foreign parties are diplomacy and understanding. I would like to avoid something as destructive as war and rather focus on communicating openly and earnestly with one and other. I understand that sometimes it is necessary we resort to violence but I believe it should be the very last resort.

I'm not sure either I'm just saying incase yknow
