VOTE SRIJIT TO COUNCIL!

Hello all! I am once again running in the upcoming Council Elections as a candidate from the Democratic Party of Innovation and Progress (DIP).

Last election, many of you trusted me with a seat in the Council. During my first term, I focused on learning how things work here as I'm still pretty new. I participated in discussions, voted consistently, wrote legislation, contributed as well as urged citizens to use our Wiki, and helped wherever I could. This experience has given me a much clearer idea of what I want to work on if re-elected.

My main priority is improving transparency and accountability. This month's Council had a huge lack of transparency imo, this was due to us being much dependent on the Transparency Posts for Council Transparency, I wish to change that with some new methods. I've always urged citizens to use things like the Town Halls, transparency posts, and make the Council Accountable for its actions. I will once again try to make legislation that would increase Council transparency and promote things that make the council more and more accountable to the commoners.

I also want to make the Council a more active and collaborative institution. We must remember that The Council is not just a place to simply vote aye or nay on props. Discussion, cooperation, and debates should always come first, and I will continue working with fellow Council Members and other branches of the government to make that happen.

One thing that will never change is my independence. I do not vote based on trends, pressure, or instructions from powerful people. My vote belongs to my conscience and to the citizens who elected me. I carefully read proposals, make my own judgment, and explain my reasoning on important matters. I am answerable to the People and nobody else.

I also believe diversity matters. As an Indian member of this community, I bring a different background, perspective, and timezone to the Council. A stronger democracy is one that includes people from different cultures and experiences, and I am proud to contribute that diversity to Tengovia.

If re-elected, I will continue being active, writing legislation, promoting growth of our community, supporting transparency, and representing citizens with an independent voice.

If you want a Council Member who thinks for the People, stays active, values transparency, and is not afraid to stand apart from the crowd, I would be honored to receive your vote.
