since the passing of the [Council Responsibility Act](https://www.reddit.com/r/TeenGovernment/comments/1q8ojqs/council_responsibility_act/) earlier, it means that all Council communications and government proceedings should be opened to the public to see for us to be able to figure out what Council is up to and what’s passing or not.

Nothing says the council chats need to become public, just the votes

I'd consider that government proceedings, which is stated to be made public

That isn't a good idea

OP
I think it’s what most people wanted/assumed was happening.

Why wouldn’t that be a good idea?

it doesn't matter if it is good, it IS WHAT HAS PASSED, IT IS THE LAW, THE LAW DOES NOT CARE ABOUT "good"

There are obviously bad or hard to carry out laws.

perhaps so, but that's ultimately irrelevant, the law is the law and must be enforced

either way it technically is the law, and theoretically a ton of screenshots could be taken, or recording slowly scrolling through, it is technically possible and the law mandates it.

OP
I assume by releasing the link for the Discord server, and then turning off chat permissions for the non Council folks

Minecraft and I don't have discord, tyranny of the majority doesn't apply here and that rule is unfair to people whos parents forbid discord

OP
>Section IV: Transparancy
>All government proceedings shall be public.
>Records, votes, and proposals shall be freely accessed by all citizens via a post showing votes in the council after voting sessions are over, and additions to the wiki.
>Secrecy in governance is hereby strictly prohibited, NO EXCUSES.
by this I assume “government proceedings” means Council communications and chats. votes should also be posted too
