Section 1: Why This Bill Is NeededThis bill is needed to prevent the council or president from acting against the law, and to stop moderators from interfering with council decisions. It ensures balance of power and protects the people.
Section 2: DefinitionsPopulation: All members of the subreddit who are allowed to vote.Endorsement: Public support for a party, person, or political idea.Stress State: A temporary state where the council and president cannot change laws.
Section 3: Moderator NeutralityModerators must remain neutral at all times.Moderators may not support or stand behind any political party.Political endorsements by moderators are not allowed.Moderators must always act neutral when handling political issues.
Section 4: Stress State PowersIf more than 50% of all moderators agree, they may place the council and president into a stress state.While in a stress state:No new laws may be made.No existing laws may be removed.A stress state may only be used if the council or president:Acts against the law.Acts against the people.Attempts to create a dictatorship.
Section 5: Population OverrideIf more than 50% of the population votes against the stress state, it must be removed immediately.Once a stress state is removed, it may not be used again for 3 weeks.
Section 6: Limits on Moderator PowerModerators may not block or decline any proposed bill.Moderators may give their opinion on a bill if they choose.Only the council has the power to pass or decline bills.
If council needs to they can change this bill as they please.
