Preface

While there are already protections for unions in our constitution, this act seeks to reiterate and expand upon these protections.

Article I - Freedom of Association and Union Protections

a) All workers shall have the freedom to unionize. The right to organize, join, and leave labor unions without state or employer interference.

b) No worker shall be retaliated against, dismissed, demoted, or harassed for union activity, including worker strikes.

c) Union membership is optional and shall never be forced.

d) Union-busting in ANY form is hereby prohibited and illegal

Article II - Collective Bargaining and Direct Action

a) Workers have the right to strike, occupy workplaces, boycott, and organize slowdowns.

b) No court shall criminalize peaceful or defensive collective bargaining or direct action.

Article III - Maintaining Union Democracy

a) Union leaders must be elected democratically and regularly and subject to recall anytime.

b) Financial transparency is mandatory within unions.

c) No permanent or unelected positions are allowed in unions.
