 Intro: I noticed Bob making a bill against monopolies. I think this is a good idea, but it should be changed a bit to make sure the punishments are not too harsh.

1: What do we classify as a monopoly?
A monopoly is when there is only one company selling a certain type of product and there are no competing companies.

2: New products
If a completely new product or a new type of company is created, it does not count as a monopoly at the start. The start is the first 30 days since it began operating.

3: Prevention is better than cure
If a market becomes a duopoly or triopoly (only 2 or 3 companies left in that market), those companies are not allowed to merge, buy, or shut down other companies in that market.

4: If it still goes wrong
If a monopoly still forms, the court can take these measures:

    Increase taxes for the company that has the monopoly.

    The monopoly holder is not allowed to remove or worsen existing products.

    The company with the monopoly is not allowed to expand further (for example hiring more people or selling more products).

5: Is this still needed if Bob's bill passes?
No. If Bob’s bill or another anti-monopoly law already passes, then this bill will not be proposed or used.
