Entertainment Economy amendment

Preface: The entertainment amendment would add the concept of entertainment and boredom to the economy, which is a rather entertaining new facet to this in-development economy allowing things like shows, Television, and Resorts to be viable sections of business. As entertainment has a very high demand in the real world, this amendment would attempt to simulate such demand in Bob/Zeedith’s TG economy,

§1: Entertainment requirement

Article 1: Along with the already written-in requirements such as food, water, and rest, all citizens need to be sufficiently entertained, or risk insanity/several strong debuffs.

Article 2: With certain items or services offering much more entertainment than others, after a certain point being entertained becomes a direct buff to a citizen’s worker efficiency, and allows them to apply more labor than possible at baseline.

Article 3: Adding to the rest requirement already present, citizens getting routine, and often off-days would add to their worker efficiency, and function the same as a mild entertainment buff. The longer any citizen goes without a break, say a full week, their efficiency and labor will quickly decline, encouraging businesses to give regular breaks to their employees. (This may be already mentioned to an extent in the original economy amendment, or in subsequent acts involving it)

§2: What gives Entertainment

Article 1: Many kinds of Technology would offer more or less entertainment, often more advanced technology is more built for the entertainment then less advanced. For example: a radio would be right near the start of an entertainment section of the tech tree if economic developers decide to make one. A radio would be simple, accessible relatively early, be cheap, and offer a fair amount of entertainment, thus making a radio a viable long-term option for a Business, or citizen. While something like a Box Television would be much higher on the tech tree, be more expensive, but offer a lot of entertainment, which alone makes them viable. (This article is up to the interpretation of the dev team, what is given here are only examples of how items could work, a radio might end up working differently in the economy, depending on what the developers deem suited for the economy)

Article 2: Places such as Resorts, fancy restaurants, parks, or public attractions would offer a lot of entertainment, opening up opportunities for Zoos, Theme parks, Hotels, ect.
