Reforming Party and Coalition Restrictions

20260327-1 \\ ??? words \\ Rejected \\ No summary

The current rules requiring a minimum of 3 members per party and 3 parties to form a coalition are overly restrictive These restrictions discourage the formation of new parties and coalitions stifling smaller groups and forcing new members to join existing parties rather than creating their own
While some parties may lose members if these rules are relaxed removing these barriers will ultimately encourage broader participation in our community It will make it easier to form and join new parties and coalitions fostering a more dynamic and inclusive environment
I proposeRemoving the 3 member minimum requirement for parties entirelyLowering the minimum number of parties required for a coalition from 3 to 2
The original intent of the bill was to improve organization but it has instead created unnecessary barriers that limit growth and innovation
