Affidavit improvement ammendment

20260406-5 \\ ??? words \\ Rejected \\ No summary

Currently the way are system is using affidavits are kind of useless, I propose a bill that gives it more of a usefulness and gives it more of a concrete form

  1. Only information that has been admitted into a shared evidence area can be used in court

  1. evidence that has been referenced in an affidavit by the person who made it, doesn't have to have foundation laid on the grounds of authenticity. (lawyers are required to confer with witnesses to see if they recognize the info)

  1. To ask someone about something in court, that information should be in their affidavit

  1. Both lawyers will confer together with witnesses pre trial to construct affidavits.

  1. The opposing lawyer may ask questions as they would a hostile witness during affidavit construction

  1. The opposing lawyer may not contact a witness without their lawyers approval

  1. You must notify all parties involved when you change an affidavit pre court.

IMPORTANT:
I talked to camel a bit ago about this, he gave two reasons against two and three.
For two it was originally that a witness could only be asked about evidence referenced in their affidavit, I have since changed it but still in a way to encourage it being used in the affidavits
For three, I have not changed it, instead I added four and five which aims to prevent camels problem of ommiting evidence, another solution to that, is requesting unsequestered witnesses, which means they can be asked questions about others testimony in court.
Another thing camel said was that it was too complicated, and yes, I can see why he might think that, ultimately it leads to more fair trials.
Please feel free to ask questions or request/suggest changes
And council, im sorry for the long ass read
