SLSR Legislation
Thank you to Tricky for helping us draft this one, and to Camel for vetting. I thought it would be a good idea to define a method of punishment for minor and/or first time offences. Here goes:
The Probation Act
Definitions:
Probation: the release of an offender from detention, subject to a period of good behavior under supervision.
M.E.T: Mod Enforcement Team, a group of individuals, hired via mod nomination, which receive minor authorities within Teen Government.
Article I: Qualification for parole:
1.1: An individual may qualify for parole under the following circumstances. (a): Good behavior. (b): One's lawyer creates an agreement with prosecution to lessen the sentence, in exchange for remorse or other acts of remediation. (c): The record of an individual is minimal (No previous offenses, and the current offense is minimal (as interpreted by the courts)), they may request parole. (d): Any agreement between both counsels. All methods must be approved via the presiding Judge of the original trial, if that Judge is no longer in the seat of Justice, then it is considered null and void.
Article II: Parole officers.
2.1: Parole officers are to be assigned as M.E.T users.
2.2: Parole officers are to have the following authorities. (a): They have the legal authority to supervise an individual currently serving parole (b): A M.E.T officer may time out an individual under parole for any violation, and may time out for a longer period than another individual may receive. (c): If an individual has broken Teen Government law, or broken terms set by their parole, a Mod is to remove them from Teen Government servers.
Article III: Terms of parole.
3.1: Terms for parole must be clear, and those terms must be presented to the Judge. These terms are to include the following, yet may include more. (a): Why this parole was given (one of the reasons outlined in 1.1) (b): Terms of the parole (Limitations on actions within Teen Government, any terms may be done, yet approval must be given by the presiding Judge.) (c): Name of the defendant, plaintiff, and any counsel.
3.2: If terms of parole are violated, that individual is to lose parole, and is to return to their ban.
3.3: Breaking Teen Government law, while under parole, is to be clearly stated within pre-trial procedures, as well as reminded towards the jury before they vote on guilty or innocent, as well as given towards the Judiciary for deciding sentencing.

Once again huge thanks to Tricky and Camel for helping out on this bill! If you have any ideas to present the SLSR, just DM one of myself, SomWan, or another member of SL.
