Article 0: Definitions
Felonies are defined as serious crimes, for which penalties last longer than a year or lead to Capital Punishment.
Active encouragement to commit a felony is defined to be consistently telling, rewarding, or generally glorifies a felony listed within Article III(a). Court interpretation shall occur in cases, in which, no guarantee is found.
Article I: Felonies
a): Any individual who commits or actively encourages doing a felony, of which falls under the crimes listed within III(a), is to be immediately removed from all Teen Government servers, awaiting due process trial.
b): Under the circumstances, an individual commits a felony, under United States law, in a non-Teen Government server or location, they are to be removed under Article Ia as if those actions were done within Teen Government servers and legislation
Article II: Enactment
a): This law shall come into effect 12 hours after officially announced passed, via a transparency post
b): Enforcement is to be done by Moderator discretion, via removal from Teen Government servers, alongside the Judiciary, done by fair trial by one's peers.
Article III: Area of effect.
a): This document only affects the following crimes and violations.
\> Distribution of Pornography to minors\> Stalking in any degree\> Harassment in any degree\> Murder in the any degree\> Kidnapping in any degree\> Manslaughter in any degree\> Vehicular Manslaughter in any degree\> Assault in any degree\> Aggravated Assault\> Arson in any degree\> Assault of a federal worker\> Gang Assault in any degree\> Rape in any degree\> Intimidating a victim or witness in any degree\> Criminal sale of a firearm in any degree\> Criminal sale of a firearm with the aid of a minor\> Armed Robbery in any degree\> Criminal possession of a forged instrument in any degree\> Criminal possession of public benefit cards in any degree\> Criminal sale of a firearm to a minor\> Use of a child for sexual purposes\> Course of sexual conduct against a child in any degree\> Use of a child in a sexual performance\> Promoting a sexual performance by a child\> Promoting an obscene sexual performance by a child\> Abandonment of a child\> Public Nudity\> Human trafficking in any degree
b): Once a judiciary decision is made, on whether Guilty or Innocent, the following is to occur.If innocent, the individual is free of all charges.
If guilty, the minimum punishment for this occurrence is 3 months, and a maximum Capital Punishment. Hence, this amends Digital Capital Punishment to include felonies.
Article IIII:General
a): Satirical use of a felony is not to be tried unless it is a serious offense, such as murder and sexual related offenses.This may only occur for cases of minimal damage, up to both judiciary and moderator discretion.
b): Prosecution for a court hearing, such as this, is to be decided via self nomination. Under the circumstance of multiple wishes for the role, a class action may occur.
Article IIII: Handling of evidently illegal servers.
a): If there’s a server, of which has gone to the attention of Teen Government, where felonies or other serious crimes occur, a request to permanently consider it criminal may be made.
This must be approved via a supermajority council vote.
b): If a server is labeled as criminal, the following jurisdictions will apply.
It may not be advertised within the Teen Government.
No member of that server is permitted access within Teen Government, must be proven without a reasonable doubt that they both are a part of and participate within the problem server. This is considered null and void under the circumstance the individual
Agrees to leave the problem server, and successfully goes through with it.
The individual has not, and shall not participate within the server.
c): A server may lose criminal status under the circumstance it files a repeal motion. A repeal motion must be approved via a supermajority of council or the server remains considered criminal.
Under the circumstance filing occurred, the individual which filed it is not to face legal consequences for participating while a part of that server.
Article V: ombudsman has no legal obligation to investigate crimes shown within this document.
