Preamble: Recognizing the idea, aim, and intention of the South Teen Government (STG) movement shall be paramount to the furtherment of r/TeenGovernment. Thus, the Treaty of Nevarro aims to outline the parameters of our relationship. Article 1: Recognition and trade 1. r/TeenGovernment shall recognize STG as an autonomous region of r/TeenGovernment in all applicable legal contexts. 2. This shall open up the STG effort as a partner for trade in all applicable legal contexts. Article 2: Relation to TG 1. STG shall have the authority to create its own laws. 2. STG’s laws may supersede the federal laws of TG. However, they may not supersede or contrast with SMP rules 1, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, or 14. 3. STG’s laws may supersede the federal laws of TG. However, they may not supersede or contrast with TG’s constitution. Article 3: Citizenship. 1. All members of TG must be given the ability to register for citizenship in the STG autonomous region, and vice versa. 1. Legislation on any of our parts may change this article. 2. Citizens of STG are not automatically Tegovians, and vice versa. Article 4: Mechanics 1. South Tegovians shall retain all of the rights as Tegovian citizens. 2. No user within STG may not lose their legal privileges nor be discriminated against politically because of their involvement in STG, unless TG’s ombudsman finds a deviation from the terms of this treaty, SMP rules 1, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, or 14, the constitution or future legislation on TG’s part changes this. 3. A user may not face discrimination, general hatred, or bigotry over their involvement in STG outside of the rights of free speech given to Tegovians. Article 5: Banned members. 1. STG may not harbor, accept, or grant citizenship to any person banned by TG. 2. Failure to comply with 5a may result in military operations, sanctions, termination of recognition, or cession of the land given to STG to another province of TG. 3. Banned members of STG are not afforded the same protections. Article 6: Non-Agression. 1. STG is not allowed a military, paramilitary, or militia of any kind. The initiation of any of these agencies herein described shall be treated as treason. 2. While STG is in compliance with the parameters of this treaty, r/TeenGovernment may make no military, paramilitary, or milia-based incursion onto the territory of STG. 3. Violation of this, SMP rules 1, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 14, and the constitution shall be treated as treason and grounds for a full scale military invasion of STG. 4. If STG ever makes a military incursion into TG, this treaty shall be considered null. 5. If STG ever makes a military incursion into TG they shall immediately lose their right to autonomy. They will be promptly invaded and the territory of Nevarro shall take control of all of STG’s assets, land, and peoples. Article 7: More concerning A6 1. If STG ever loses their autonomy and the conditions of A6e are to apply, TG may not deprive South Tegovians of rights or legal protections. 2. If STG ever makes a military incursion into TG after the canonical date of August 6, 1945, TG reserves the right to use nuclear weapons on STG in the case of a treaty violation. Article 8: Foreign Policy 1. STG may not sign a treaty with any other nation besides TG. 2. STG may not recognize any other nation besides TG 3. STG may not, under no circumstances, enter into trade with another nation besides TG. 4. STG shall be considered an unofficial signatory of all treaties TG enters into. Article 9: BT Authority 1. The balance team shall have supreme authority over the laws, conduct, and actions of STG. 2. Violations of A9a shall be treated as treason and grounds for a full scale military invasion of STG. Article 10: Judicial System. 1. STG’s judicial system may not exonerate or grant clemency to any banned member of TG. 2. STG’s judicial system may not interpret the TG constitution. All constitutional cases arising from STG will go to TG courts Article 11: Termination 1. In the case of a violation of this treaty by any signatory, this treaty shall be terminated unless an agreement between TG and STG is reached.
