This act is intended to outline the concept of “joinder” or joint trials.
Article I) A joint trial is defined as a formal court hearing where evidence is presented for a jury to determine beyond reasonable doubt a crime was committed with two or more defendants.
Article II) In order to try two individuals in a joint trial, the two individuals must be tried under the same crime.
Article II, Section I) For instance, if two people are to, for example, harass one individual, the people may be tried under the same crime.
Article II, Section I.I) Person A and B harass person C in the same instance. Person C may sue both person A and person B under the same crime in one trial.
Article III) This bill shall not impede upon any rights guaranteed to an individual by the constitution.
