Honorary community rules proposition
20260510-5 \\ ??? words \\ Passed \\ No summary
This is a draft thing I wrote a while ago, and then forgot about, probably isn't super relevant/good anymore; and I haven't read it over so it make have issues. But I'll put it out there anyways. (Reddit gave me a "finish this draft" notification, that's the only reason I'm posting this)

These community rules shall be established as honorary community rules for the SMP. They shan't lead to any bans or punishment easily, but a link to them shall be provided on the SMP sidebar and repeated violations (>0 5 in past 7 days) may lead to short bans up to 1 day by community moderators. Upon a first ban for repeated violations it may not be appealed. Upon any further bans the user may appeal and/or bring the banning moderator to court. Moderators may be punished by the court for excessive or false bans under this law.
Community Rule 1: Be respectful in debates and community discussion. If you start to devolve into insults or debate in bad faith a warning may be issued by a moderator.
Community Rule 2: No spamming, this is already an official rule but to officially quantify it; Spamming within the SMP and SMP only is to be defined as "sending 3 or more identical, nearly identical, or messages/posts/comments that otherwise have the same or similar content in a short span purposefully"
Community Rule 3: No ridiculous / spammy / custom post flairs with explicit words in them. Moderators have discretion to reflair posts with custom flairs that contain such content. Such flairs must be malicious, intended to contain such content, intentional / done on purpose, and the contents of such flair must be against other rules or contain profanity to be counted as a violation.
Community Rule 4: If you have issues, feel unsafe, or see someone doing something they shouldn't always feel free to modmail the modteam, they're always there to help.
Community Rule 5: Be respectful and truthful in your custom user flairs. Moderators may modify or edit your user flair to remove things such as swearing and hate speech, or any information that may be untruthful (e.g. Saying you're a councilmember in your flair when you hold no position on council). There is an exception for if the flairs contents were once true and your forgot and/or it was unintentional in any degree.
