Co-Written by: u/Trickster-123 and u/British_QuestionMark Preamble: Henceforth, the official Teen Government Discord, is to be autonomous, and may decide to reject or refuse legislation from its processes or general actions, under moderator approval, yet shan’t refuse to follow the constitution and shan’t fail to follow law in the case nary vote against it. Definitions: For the purposes of this document, and any following legislation which doesn’t specify differently, the official Teen Government discord server is to be known as the discord server with the ID of "1451551726183252070". In the event in which the Official Teen Government Discord Server is changed, the previous clause is to be updated with the new server’s ID. M.E.T: Moderator Enforcement Team, individuals, nominated amongst Moderators, which are given the privilege and authority to uphold passed legislation or rules, via time out privilege. Mod/Moderator: Elected moderation within Teen Government. This includes the current server owner. Current server owner: Server owner. Section I: General Article I: Henceforth the Teen Government Discord Server is to allow all Moderation to propose any self legislation within The Discord, of which Moderators may vote upon it, deciding whether that legislation is passed or not, among a 50%+1 vote, the proposer must add it to the official rules, and the law is considered passed. This law must be upheld within the Discord, failure to do so shall lead to punishment under the punishment system agreed upon in the law. If the agreed upon punishment is a timeout, any M.E.T, or Moderator may decide the time or length, upon any discretion. Article II: Henceforth, all legislation, voted upon within the official Discord server, is to be respected within the Teen Government discord server, yet shan’t be enforced in other places, nor in related servers. Article III: Henceforth, the Teen Government Discord Server has the legal authority to deny legislation from being enforced within the server, if fallen under any of the following conditions. (a): A supermajority vote within CoA and all Moderators, must be proposed to be ignored via an acting Moderator. (b): Conflicts with previous or later written legislation within the discord, of which the official Teen Government Discord server shall take priority and be the enforced rule. (c): Supermajority official poll (70% or more), held within announcments, done publicly, with a ping alerting all within Teen Government to vote, Alternative Accounts are prohibited from being counted. This may be asked upon by any individual that does not have the “Foreign Traveler" or “Alternative Account” role, yet may only occur once per legislation, and shan’t be given another chance for vote. Article VI: Discord legislation is considered above Teen Government, any law written within the Discord, passed via proper methods, if contradicts a Teen Government law, the Discord Law is the one to be used, this is excluded in the case of the S.M.P.’s SideBar rules, or if the rule is enshrined within the Constitution. If a decision leads to the removal of a rule, the rule is to be hereby ignored within the Discord, and is unenforceable, yet this must be placed within the official rules thread. Section II: Exceptions. Article I: There shan’t be any action to ignore the law illustrated within the constitution. Article II: There shan’t be legislation, of which would prohibit harm, mental well being, or besmirching another's reputation, which may be ignored, unless a unanimous decision occurs within voting, amongst all members. Article III: No removal or ignoring of a legislation may occur if the legislation is an official amendment, yet if done via supermajority within a public poll, or unanimous CoA alongside Moderator vote, it may be ignored, yet this may not occur for legislation enshrined within the constitution.
