Section 1: Definitions Article 1: An "action that prohibits the regular schedule of general elections" shall be defined as any event or action, caused by another law, IRL event, technical issue, crime, or otherwise, as determined by council that restricts, makes it clearly unreasonable hard, or makes it impossible to hold general elections. Section 2: Terms Article 1: If an action that prohibits the regular schedule of general elections occurs general elections can be shifted forward or back by up to 3 days by the election minister with a simple majority council approval. If a greater period is required a motion can be filed with council to extend, move, shift, or otherwise modify the period in which elections take place further, this shall require a super-majority to pass. Article 2: For the purposes of brevity and potential emergency situations any motions under this amendment shall be exempt from the proposition waiting period. Article 3: Any motion under this amendment must contain when/what modifications are to be made to the period in which general elections take place. Article 4: Abuse of this system for political gain or personal goals as determined by a court of law is a crime. Section 3: Enactment Article 1: This amendment shall go into affect upon passing.
