In Tegovia, we do not have a clear system of ownership. While this act is primarily to establish a copyright system, and the minister of ownership, it will also set up a system for any person and corporation to own things.
§1: Minister
Article A: A new ministry, the “Minister of Ownership” is to be established.
Article B: The Minister of Ownership is responsible for overseeing how property is owned.
§2: Copyright (©)
Article A: A copyright is a type of intellectual property that gives its owner the exclusive legal right to copy, distribute, adapt, display, and perform a creative work.
Article B: Any person or corporation must personally DM the Minister of Ownership with their request to Copyright. They must also consent to that DM being screenshotted and used publicly. Someone may also file a copyright under another's behalf.
Article C: Every Copyright must be officially documented and kept track of.
Article D: Any copyright may only be held by one person or corporation. No person or corporation may copyright a copyrightable item if said item has already been copyrighted.
Article E: Owning a copyright gives the owner full permission and control over how the copyrighted item is distributed, adapted, or displayed.
Article F: If anyone not holding the copyright of a copyrighted item attempts to use said copyrighted item outside of how the owner of the copyright wishes for it to be used, the owner may pursue legal action, primarily suing.
Article G: A copyright expires exactly ten months after it was created. The copyright can be renewed within three weeks of its expiration, extending it another ten months.
Article H: A copyright is indicated with the © symbol.
Article I: Every copyright registered must be posted on the Sub Main Page by the Minister of Ownership.
§3: Trademark (™)
Article A: A trademark is a type of intellectual property that consists of a word, phrase, symbol, design, or combination thereof that identifies a product or service from a particular source and distinguishes it from others.
Article B: Any person or corporation must personally DM the Minister of Ownership with their request to Trademark. They must also consent to that DM being screenshotted and used publicly. Someone may also file a trademark under another's behalf.
Article C: Every Trademark must be officially documented and kept track of.
Article D: Any trademark may only be held by one person or corporation. No person or corporation may trademark a trademarkable item if said item has already been trademarked.

§4: Land ownership:
Article A: Any person or corporation may purchase land from the government.
Article B: To purchase any land, a person or corporation must have a land ownership license.
Article C: Any person or corporation may request a Land ownership license from the Minister of Ownership.
Article D: The governor of a province must decide the price of government-owned land for any person or corporation to purchase. This price must be within a range decided by the Minister of Ownership.
Article E: If the Minister of Ownership decides that an owner of land is not using the land they own responsibly, they may request that the president seize ownership of the land.
Article F: Land may be withheld from purchase by the government if said land is the following:
A national Park
Home to government infrastructure
A protected environment.
Article G: If anyone is on land that is owned by a Person or Corporation, they are considered trespassing, and may be sued by the land’s owner.
§5: Enactment
Article A: This Act goes into effect immediately upon passing
Article B: Upon passing, the Government is to begin hiring for a Minister of Ownership.
Article C: The "Copyright Law" is considered immediately void upon passing.
