Article (I)
(a) A candidate is defined as someone who has applied to the elections via the MRIR application form, and has not dropped out.
(b) Dropping out is defined as the act a candidate takes to remove themselves from the elections after having applied.
Article (II)
(a) If a citizen running for any elections wishes to drop out, they are to contact the Election Minister, with a direct message either on Discord or Reddit, before the end of the voting period.
(b) The Election Minister is required to publicly announce if a candidate drops out via a Reddit post as soon as possible, before the end of the election period, unless the former candidate has already announced it themselves.
Article (III)
This act shall go into effect as of the next election, and overrides any previous act or amendment which requires the election minister to manually check if a candidate has dropped out.
