Section I: Definitions
(a) An individual's image is the individual's recognized likeness, including physical or digital recreations of their physical or digital appearances.
(b) Likeness: A representation of a person's appearance that is capable of identifying or reasonably being associated with that person, either based on their digital or physical appearance.
(c) Digital appearances are the way an individual is portrayed online, based on their profile picture, their voice, their speech, their username/name and their distinctiveness. (Up to interpretation in specific cases).
(d) Physical appearances are defined as an individual's actual in real-life appearance, within Teen Government, seen within photographs, recordings, imagery, descriptions, or otherwise any matter of their appearance being visibly shown within Teen Government.
Section II: Personal Image Protection.
(a) No individual's physical appearance may be used in any manner, even if altered, for commercial use, without the consent of the individual the appearance belongs to. This includes satirical use.
(b) No individual's physical appearance may be used for any use without the direct consent of the individual it belongs to. This includes satirical use.
(c) The altering of an individual's physical appearance, within Teen Government, is illegal, without direct consent of the individual it belongs to. This includes satirical use.
(d) The Digital appearance of an individual may be used for any use, excluding the case of the following cases.
(a) Their username or otherwise name is used in direct reference to them.
(b) Their profile picture, of which they hold legal ownership over. Owning copyright over the image used is irrelevant under this protection.
(i) Legal ownership requires the individual to have created, purchased, or been given the image.
(ii) An individual who lies of legal ownership, via claiming ownership over media they did not create, purchase or be given, is to be considered in violation of this law.
(e) Section II (c) and Section II (b)(i)/(ii) are ignored in the circumstance of direct consent from the individual who owns the digital appearance.
Section III: Enactment and naming.
(a) This law shall be considered named "Image Law"
(b) This law shall be considered effective immediately upon passage.
